There is a common saying within our team: “If you’ve seen one Living Classroom, you’ve seen one Living Classroom.” This reflects our core belief that for a Living Classroom education to be truly effective, it must shape itself to the unique contour of the people and the place it serves. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the Living Classroom program is a dynamic framework designed to evolve alongside the specific needs of its partners, students, residents, faculty, and local community.
From Ontario’s largest urban centres to the rural townships and remote communities of the near north, the Living Classroom model can adapt to meet the different challenges each partnership may face. Our model embraces cultural and linguistic diversity, including specialized programs that honour Indigenous ways of knowing and Francophone-led initiatives that serve our French-speaking communities. Grounding each Living Classroom in its local context ensures that every student is not just workforce-ready but also community-ready.
